RELIABLE GRAIN HANDLING AND FEED SOLUTIONS SERVING THE NORTHWEST AGRICULTURAL COMMUNITY

Supporting Northwest Agriculture for Nearly 50 Years

Founded in 1980, Grain Handling, Inc. (GHI) is a division of AgriNorthwest focused on supporting agriculture from the Columbia Basin and Yakima Valley to as far west as Tillamook, Oregon. We pride ourselves on safe, efficient operations and honest, fair dealings with our customers.

Located along the BNSF mainline, GHI’s strategic position and shuttle-train capabilities make us a vital link in the regional feed and grain supply chain. Our facility serves farmers and ranchers, grain merchandisers and exporters, corn processors, feedlots, dairies, and other feed users throughout the region.

Key Capabilities

Infrastructure Insight: The Rail Loop Advantage

  • Train shuttle capacity: Loop track allows full‑length BNSF shuttle trains to stay connected and keep moving.

  • Extensive loading track: Enables smooth circulation and high‑volume loading/unloading.

  • Rapid turnarounds: Reduces time on site, increasing efficiency for customers and carriers.

  • On‑site locomotive: GHI’s engine moves single cars without relying on outside power; additional siding holds dozens of rail cars.

  • Connected to BNSF: Leveraging the largest freight railroad in the U.S. for broad, dependable service.

Powerful On Site Capabilities That Deliver Consistent Results

GHI’s infrastructure is supported by a set of high‑capacity systems designed to move grain quickly and deliver consistent product quality. These systems support operational excellence, minimize waste, and ensure consistent, high‑quality results – season after season.

Key facility features include:

  • Storage capacity: Extensive on-site storage includes multiple large dry and wet bins, along with additional ground-pile storage for wheat. This flexible storage infrastructure provides significant capacity to efficiently handle grain during peak harvest periods.

  • Corn flaking: Our state-of-the-art steamed corn flaker—the largest commercial flaker in the region—delivers high-volume production of finished feed product to reliably meet customer demand.

  • High-capacity dryer: Our modern, energy-efficient dryer provides fast, uniform drying and is fully integrated with our receiving and storage systems. This alignment helps maintain clean, consistent grain quality while keeping harvest moving smoothly.
